An honest start-from-scratch guide
Rebuild After Mealime: Start Your Recipe Collection From Scratch
Mealime has no full-library export. Personal saved recipes, favorites, plans, lists, history, and preferences will be wiped out rather than transferred. Only Albertsons-owned recipes will remain available separately in Meals Hub.
Dinner Roulette Pro cannot connect to Mealime, read Mealime data, or import anything from a Mealime account. Every user must create a new collection and rebuild from scratch.
- Accept that this is a fresh start: Mealime has no full-library export. Saved recipes, favorites, plans, lists, history, and preferences will not carry over. Dinner Roulette Pro cannot retrieve them.
- Choose recipes to recreate: Start a new collection using recipes from source material you independently have and are permitted to use, such as your own text, a public recipe URL, or a clear photo.
- Create and review each recipe: Use Add Recipe, then check ingredients, directions, servings, and categories before saving. Correct anything unclear or incomplete.
- Rebuild the next few days: Add newly created recipes to the planner and rebuild upcoming days manually. Mealime calendar history, saved plans, and favorites do not transfer.
- Generate a fresh shopping list: Create a new consolidated list from the rebuilt plan. Review quantities, then copy, print, or use supported retailer handoff where available.
- Set the household back up: Re-enter household size, units, cuisines, restrictions, allergies, inclusions, and retailer preference. These settings are recreated, not transferred.
